ICEHA's Programs
Initiative to Strengthen the Nursing Training Program
Local Partner Organization
The Ministry of Health, Vietnam
Program Overview
Currently, there is a severe human resource shortage in Vietnam, particularly in the field of nursing, which affects the extent to which HIV/AIDS services can be provided in the country.
ICEHA is collaborating with the Vietnamese Ministry of Health in a new initiative which will address the effects of the nursing shortage. This initiative will augment the faculty at nursing schools within Vietnam. Clinical instructor nurses will be recruited to help train additional nurses in Vietnam by filling in teaching positions for which there is no faculty in Vietnam. Teaching will include a combination of didactic and clinical mentoring training on HIV/AIDS.
